Paving Your Driveway More Successfully

Are You Adding An Outdoor Patio To Your Mexican Restaurant?

If you are adding an outdoor patio to your Mexican restaurant, that must mean that business is booming and you need more seating space for your clients. Do you already have a plan on what you want to do for the addition? If so, you're probably already doing some fun shopping. On the other hand, you may still be in the planning stages of. your patio addition. If that's the case, from arranging for the paving foundation to choosing new decor, here are some ideas that might help you.

The Paving

Consider having flagstone or bricks for the foundation of your patio. Or, use them together. For example, the major part of the foundation could be done in flagstone and bricks could serve as the edging for the design. Another idea is to use concrete and to give it faux painting to add pizzaz to the foundation. The construction company you use will more than likely have workers who are skilled in faux painting. If you do select faux painted concrete, think of giving it the look of weathered pebble streets you'd find in old Mexico. Or, give the faux painted concrete the look of beautiful Saltillo tile.

The great thing about flagstone, brick or concrete is that they are all affordable choices. In addition, they'd all be very easy to maintain and they would last for a very long time. Your construction company will be happy to suggest which foundation would be best for your patio.

The Decor

Have you been to casual restaurants in Mexico? If so, you more than likely saw metal tables and chairs. Another idea would be to select wrought iron furniture. If you do choose wrought iron, think of painting it in bright colors like turquoise or yellow, just to add interest to the patio area. For a rustic look, go with wooden picnic tables and chairs. For something really dramatic, paint the wooden tables red, white and green, the colors of the Mexican flag.

A multi-tiered water fountain would be a great focal point for your outdoor patio. Enhance the space with pots of different sizes and shapes. Select hand-painted pots that have a lot of color in their design. One good idea would be to fill the pots with flowers like bougainvillea and geraniums. If the patio area has trees, consider hanging decorative parrots and ferns from the branches.
